This is the jewel of Yosemite National Park - California. A better name might be Gold Dome. Sunlight bouncing off nearby mountains produced this momentary gold coloration of Half Dome. Its reflection is a beautiful contrast in the Merced River.

The 93 foot tower, Oregon's tallest, is located on a narrow point of land jutting due west into the Pacific Ocean north of Newport, at Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area. Winds and rain have buffeted this lighthouse since its beginning in 1872. It took approximately one year, and over 370,000 bricks to construct Oregon's tallest lighthouse.

This is the most photographed view of Heceta Head lighthouse 12 miles north of Florence Oregon. It consists of six photographed stitched together. What makes it so difficult is timing the waves as they moved left to right. The State of Oregon owns this and rents it out as a bed and breakfast. Local galleries sell this view but much smaller (20" x 55") Only my limited edition offers this size.

This view of Superstition Mountain near Apache Junction, Arizona, was made just before sunset and immediately after a February rain. Not usually this colorful, the combination of the setting sun filtered through the pollution in Phoenix created the glistening gold highlights and the magenta shadows. Apache Junction sits below Superstition Mountain also known as Lost Dutchman gold mine rumored to be in these majestic mountains.(Will print to 126 inches wide by 36 inches high.)
